ATTENDING THE FESTIVAL

When and where for 2013

The seventh annual Real. Texas. Festival. takes place April 26 and 27, 2013 at Rodeo Center in Mesquite, Texas, 1818 Rodeo Drive. For a map and driving directions, click here

Attending the Festival

Festival hours are 5-11 p.m. on Friday, April 26; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.

Festivalgoers may re-enter the festival upon leaving with a hand stamp for single day general admission ticket holders or via the wristband for VIP pass holders. Wristbands must be worn for re-entry.

Bags and purses may be subject to search upon entering the festival and re-entering the festival.

Also, the event takes place rain or shine and will only be cancelled in the event of extreme weather conditions.

Parking

There are three primary parking areas for the festival – and festival organizers recommend you come early and stay late as it is quite possible that general admission parking could be at a premium. Approximately 30,000 attended last year’s event and it is suspected that more will attend in 2013.

There’s no charge to park in the general admission (weather permitting) and shuttle lots. The shuttle lot is at Memorial Stadium. There is also a limited number of preferred parking spaces that will be in the paved parking areas surrounding Mesquite Arena – available on a first come, first served basis.

Hotel and Lodging Information

There are a number of quality hotels within a very short driving distance of the festival grounds. Some of those hotels have partnered with the Real Texas Festival to develop special ticket and room packages. Please check back after the first of the year for more information and for a list of participating hotels.

Tickets

Tickets for the Real. Texas. Festival. will go on sale in March. Please check the Website in the coming months for more details on pricing, how to purchase online or where to purchase at official festival ticket outlets. Festival tickets will once again be available on ticketmaster.com.

Entry or Re-Entry

Single Day Ticket Holders will be able to re-enter the festival grounds with a hand-stamp. However, the hand stamp will not transfer from day to day.

Festival attendees who attend the festival on Friday and want to return on Saturday will have to purchase another single day General Admission ticket.

However, preferred and general admission parking are first-come, first-served lots. There is no guarantee festival patrons leaving the festival and leaving those lots will get their same parking space, or any parking space, upon returning.
