Anybody who has ever seen Chaz Marie live knows she’s the real deal. She sings from the depths of her soul. The Chaz Marie Band returns for a sixth performance at the Real. Texas. Festival. and is a crowd favorite.
Chaz bears her emotional moments with her sultry, smoky, raspy vocals. Her charming personality has earned her the reputation as a fresh alternative to formulaic female country artists. Her voice is a fusion of her musical influences in country, delta blues, R&B and rock and roll. A natural lyricist, she unabashedly reels you into a real of sensual sweet surrender. Not only does she deliver a powerhouse vocal performance, she also understands the art of entertaining – having the audience grooving, laughing and moving all in the same song.
Born in Missisippi and raised in Texas, Chaz comes from a musical family, acquiring her pipes belting out songs in church every Sunday. She has worked with some of the finest artists in the industry in the studio and touring including Bryan McKnight, Kenny Rogers, Wynonna, Lonestar, Joe Nichols, JoDee Messina, Cross Canadian Ragweed, James Otto, LeAnn Rimes, Richard Marx, Michael McDonald and more.
Chaz has worked on several independent and major label recording projects. Her first major label project was Curb Records artist LeAnn Rimes’ single "Sittin on Top of the World". A few years later, she began working with her sister Kessie, and the Marie Sisters signed a Universal Republic recording contract and their debut album featured a Billboard Top 40 hit "Real Bad Mood."
Chaz released her first solo project in late 2012.
"I am ecstatic about my new record," she said. "I don’t’ want people to listen to it. I want them to experience it."
